Who We Are

Find out why CCPC is the choice for hospitals and patients alike.

About CCPC

Critical Care & Pulmonary Consultants delivers high quality pulmonary, sleep disorder, critical care, and inpatient medical care. We strive to deliver the highest competency of care in a compassionate and efficient manner, always keeping the concerns of patients and referring physicians as our top priority.

Critical Care and Pulmonary Consultants is an established independent group of physicians trained in the subspecialties of  internal medicine. Our doctors practice both inpatient medicine in a hospital setting and outpatient medicine in our clinics. Our group consists of specialized, board-certified physicians (known as hospitalists, intensivists, pulmonologists, and sleep disorder specialists) who have expertise in the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients.

Our doctors are present in hospitals 24 hours daily in order to be readily available to care for you or your loved ones. We are not employees of the hospital or your insurance plan. However, we contract with both to ensure timely care during your hospital stay. We work closely with hospital administration, ancillary staff, and other medical subspecialists in order to provide state-of-the-art care for our patients.

Examples of how our doctors are engaged within the hospital include:

  • Round at least daily on each patient with a multidisciplinary team
  • Monthly meetings with hospital administration on patient care issues
  • Development of protocols for management of medical issues such as congestive heart failure and community acquired pneumonia
  • Participation and leadership within the medical staff including participation on multiple committees

Modern Medical Practice

Critical Care and Pulmonary Consultants has been instrumental in developing protocols which follow evidenced-based national guidelines in order to maintain the highest level of patient care. Nationally, we have been at the forefront of implementing evidence based Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade guidelines within our ICUs. Our protocols optimize inpatient care for conditions such as:

  • Respiratory failure

  • Septic shock

  • Pneumonia

  • Congestive heart failure

  • Post-operative medical management

  • Other medical conditions

Quality Healthcare

Prevention of hospital acquired conditions is a priority for our physicians. We work closely with hospital quality management teams to ensure compliance with measures such as deep venous thrombosis prophylaxis, decubitus pressure wound prevention, ventilator associated pneumonia prevention, central line infection prevention, urinary catheter associated infection prevention, and delirium minimization.
